The Center of Everything
4 out of 5
Ruby Pepperdine misses her grandmother, Gigi. She hates that Gigi is gone forever. She hates that she will never again sit in Gigi’s arms as her grandmother points out the constellations in the night sky. She hates that she didn’t listen to the last words Gigi ever said to her. But when Ruby makes a wish on her twelfth birthday, she hopes that she can make everything right again. Ruby believes that when she is selected as the Bunning Day Essay Girl, her wish will come true. But will it? I liked this book, and my favorite characters were Ruby and her friends Lucy and Nero. I would recommend this book to people from ages 8-12.
