The setting of the book is interesting because there is not one but many. The setting are all adequately described and you can almost see them in your head.The characters are interesting because they are different the main character in the series. Its a prequel but not really because it stretches into three books. Victor is a well developed charecter and is easy to understand. I enjoyed this book very much.
