Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2)
5 out of 5
Both Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the tributes from District 12 have returned home from the seventy-fourth annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death for the Capitol’s entertainment. The president of Panem is worried about uprisings in the districts against the Capitol, and blames Katniss for starting them. Katniss can no longer hunt in the woods that lead to what are believed to be the ruins of District 13, destroyed during the Revolution, about seventy-five years ago. But are there still people in District 13? And what will happen in the Quarter Quell, the seventy-fifth anniversary of the original Hunger Games?
I liked how the ending left me asking so many questions.
I loved this book, and would recommend it to girls and boys ages 11-14.
